Clayton Swimming Club, Inc is a private, members only pool located in Clayton, NC. The swim club is a community-based, family oriented club that has been around since 1960. The swim club is made up of members (and their guest), lifeguards, Board of Directors, and Stockholders.

Members: We offer three types of membership: Family (3+), Household of two (2), and Individual (1). All individuals on a membership must live in the same home. All interested members must have references and be approved by the Board of Directors. Members are provided with a set number of guest passes at the beginning of the season and are able to either buy additional passes or earn additional passes through workdays. Members must be present with their guest(s) and are responsible for their actions/behavior. Past membership holders will receive priority for the next season. Annual members do not have voting rights.

2025 Membership Prices: New members will pay a one-time initiation fee of $100, which is added to the current years membership cost.

• Family = $575 (save $50 by paying on or before April 18th)
• Couple = $400
• Individual = $300

Board of Directors: The pool is run by a volunteer, non-paid, action-oriented group of members. The board includes a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and at-large members. The board follows a set of bylaws that direct there actions as they facilitate the day-to-day running of the club. Typical board responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the pool has a CPO stay to check and regulate the operation of the swimming pool (checking and balancing chemicals, maintaining operation of pumps and filters, and ensuring that the pool is clean and safe to swim in). 
• Hiring, training, and overseeing pool manager(s), lifeguards, and attendants. 
• Facilitating swim lessons.
• Coordinating and scheduling pool parties.
• Coordinating memberships. 
• Communication with members (email, newsletters, social media, pool posting, etc). 
• Scheduling and facilitating social events.
• Ensuring all financial matters are take care of (bills, taxes, insurance, payroll, licenses, equipment and supplies, etc)
• Maintaining the club grounds (lawn maintenance, mulch, flowers, tree trimming, pest control, etc).

Stockholders/Shareholders: A club stockholder or shareholder is typically a longtime member who has invested their time, talents, and financial resources to maintain and improve the swim club. Stockholders/Shareholders have voting rights that guide the current and future direction of the Board of Directors and swim club. Fundraising Committee

The fundraising committee was formed to assist the board in strategizing ways to raising additional funds for the swim club to all for updating, upgrading, and enhancing the pool environment and the member experience.

The swim club board has worked to keep the membership dues as low as possible for our members. Currently, we have one of the lowest membership costs in Johnston and Wake counties. We would like to keep it that way but our membership dues barely cover the costs of lifeguards, chemicals, utilities, and routine maintenance. In order to make improvements and prepare for major or unforeseen pools needs, we need to increase the amount of money we have available.
